Een echte held kiest statiegeld

The Dutch government wants to abolish the recycling system for PET bottles. Stichting Ons Statiegeld however is not about to let that happen and started the campaign “Een echte held kiest statiegeld”. Not only do they want to prevent the government from dismissing it, their manifest also pleads to include small bottles in the recycling system.

Dutch politicians, companies and citizens are signing the manifest that will be presented to the House of Representatives on the 12th of June 2012. For more information, please visit


Our Common Future 2.0

Summary of the Our Common Future 2.0 end conference in Arnhem. Many inspirational speakers shed their light on sustainability, including Ruud Lubbers (former Prime Minister of the Netherlands), Jan Jonker (initiator) and Marjan Minnesma (#1 in “The sustainable 100″). Over a thousand people attended the conference that was held in May 2011.

Pioneers Lab

In 2010, a group of twenty Honors students enrolled in a course at the University of Amsterdam, with the vague description ‘The Learning Lab’. Though also providing for them a vast array of inspirational speakers, their course designer, Thieu Besselink introduced them to an increasing amount of chaos, leaving more and more space for the students to take over.
